Killeen, Texas — Families with children entering Pre-K or Kindergarten are invited to attend Killeen ISD’s Roundup, a hands-on event designed to help families prepare for their child’s first school experience and complete the enrollment process.
During the event, families can register their child for Pre-K or Kindergarten, explore interactive stations, and leave with helpful resources and tips to get ready for the first day of school. Parents and students can rotate through stations that model what a typical school day looks like.
District staff will also be available at information tables to answer questions and connect families with important services, including:
Multilingual Services, onsite ESL testing
Health Services, immunization guidance and health support
Special Education, Early Child Find resources
School Nutrition, lunch applications and allergy information
Afterschool Programs, explore care options
Transportation, bus rider information
This is a come-and-go event. Families may choose to attend during any of the following times:
April 9, 2026 | 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
April 10, 2026 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
April 11, 2026 | 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Families are encouraged to bring the following documents to complete registration:
Student’s birth certificate
Current immunization records
Parent/guardian’s driver’s license or photo ID
Proof of residency, such as an electric bill, gas bill, water bill, or lease agreement
